About me
Hi, i am Trevor, married, with 2 grown up daughters (Both have flown the nest) so i have come back to my love of photography after 20 years.
I first started with B&W which i developed and printed in a very make shift darkroom in my loft, i soon progressed to digital with a top of the range Kodak 1 megapixel brick which i recall cost a small fortune back then, being the first digiman at the club (TVPS) caused a few raised eyebrows, printers were not that good in those days and a total lack of inkjet paper did not help, i persevered for a couple of years but could not keep up with the cost of the new technology and bring up my 2 daughters so i gave up for a while, as mentioned above 20 years on, no kids, 3rd dog, same wife, im'e back
I use a range of equipment and so far have the following :-
Canon
1D MK III, and 30D
100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L is
24-105mm f4 L is
70-300mm f4.5-5.6 DO is USM
85mm f1.2 II L
300mm f2.8L IS
1.4 & 2 x Extenders
580EX II Flash
G9 Compact
Sigma
12-24 f4.5-5.6 DG EX HSM
105 f2.8 Macro
120-300 f2.8 APO DG HSM
Plus the other usual clutter often found in photographers camera bags
I have a home grown PC with 2 gig of ram, powered by an AMD processor, a small hard drive of 80 gig is all i need as photos are stored on remote hard drives, sometimes i even get round to backing them up on DVD's but fail most of the time to keep it up.
I enjoy most areas of photography, mainly wildlife, landscapes and the occasional model !
I have re-joined Trent Valley Photographic Society which is still based in Slitting Mill near Rugeley, UK, it is a very friendly club headed by Andy with help from the committee which i have been seconded onto in february 2008
